You’re invited to the Lawcherty Happily Ever After Party in Edinburgh! We’d love for you to join us as we celebrate our union with friends and family who have supported us and had a profound impact on our lives.

This party won’t include the ceremony, but it will be a grand celebration in a fantastic venue with amazing food, dancing, drinks—everything you'd expect from a full-blown celebration.

Weekend Events: We’re also inviting you to a weekend of events, all covered by us! These include:

  • Tea at Edinburgh Castle

  • A tour of Edinburgh Castle

  • A private walking tour of the city

Just a heads-up: These events are still being finalized, so there might be a few changes along the way!

Travel

The main airport is Edinburgh International Airport (EDI), which has direct flights from Orlando (MCO), NYC (LGA), and other major hubs. Flying into EDI is the most convenient option.

Alternative Airports:

  • Glasgow International Airport: From here, it's a 45-minute train ride to Edinburgh Waverly Train Station, which is right across the street from the venue.

  • Manchester International Airport: A train ride from here to Edinburgh takes 3-4 hours.

  • London (Heathrow or Gatwick): Trains to Edinburgh take 3-4 hours, and the ride is quite comfortable, with first-class options offering reclining seats and dining.

Flight Recommendations: Here are my top picks for flights from the U.S.:

  1. British Airways
    Route: TPA → LGW (London Gatwick), then take a bus to Heathrow, followed by Heathrow → EDI.

  2. Virgin Atlantic (Direct)
    Route: MCO → EDI
    Virgin Atlantic often has points seat availability, so if you have airline miles, this could be a great option!

 

Hotels

Here are a few hotel options near the venue, along with their loyalty programs, ownership details, and booking links:

  1. Motel One (3-star)
    Don’t let the name fool you—this is a modern 3-star hotel, just a minute’s walk from the venue. My parents and grandparents will be staying here!

  2. Roomzzz Aparthotels (4-star)
    These are newer mini-apartments located in the new shopping center, about a 5-minute walk from the venue.

  3. Malmaison Edinburgh (City Centre) (4-star)
    Malmaison hotels are known for their chic, boutique vibe, though they can be a bit pricier. This location is just a short walk from the venue.

  4. Ibis Styles Edinburgh St Andrews Sq (3-star)
    A great value, modern hotel with breakfast included. About a 5-minute walk from the venue.

  5. Premier Inn (Edinburgh City Centre) (3-star)
    Premier Inns are great value, with comfy beds and modern amenities. There are two Premier Inns within a 5-minute walk from the venue:

(Note: Travelodge is another budget option, but Premier Inn has a better overall vibe. There’s a Travelodge nearby on Waterloo Place if needed.)
